A pre-consultation form is a tool that we as a salon use to prepare for your upcoming appointment with us. We want to make sure we’re doing everything in our power to maximize our time together, and to make sure we’re on the same page as far as what you’re looking to do, the maintenance of your hair, and the expectation you can have as far as what can happen in one appointment, or if it will take a few visits.
The questions we ask help us get to know your hair a little better. Knowing your hair history is imperative for a smooth service. Knowing about previous color or chemicals on your hair from at-home color or even from a previous salon (even if it was years and years ago) makes a difference on how we go about giving you your dream hair. Be honest. Certain ingredients could react negatively with professional color, and alter the results you're looking for.
Pictures are very helpful as reference points. They can help determine what tone you like, what placement is good, and just a good visual for your overall look. Be aware, if you have straight, curly, fine or thick hair, make sure you’re looking at pictures similar to the hair you have. If you are low maintenance and don’t care to style your hair, a high maintenance cut or color may not be for you, but there’s nothing wrong with that. Making sure you communicate with your stylist on your daily routine helps to select the cut or color that is manageable for you.
Long story short, the more information you give us about your hair history, routine and dreams, the closer we can get you to where you want to be, if you’re willing to trust the process.
Here’s to YOUR great hair day!
